This is a 60 minute Zoom workshop from 7-28-24 Old Grimes is a traditional tune recorded by Norman & Nancy Blake in 1992 and made popular by Chris Eldridge and Julian Lage from their 2017 album Mount Royal. It's a wonderful melody in the key of D that can be a bit tricky to play in "G" tuning, but lays out beautifully in "D" tuning. We will learn the melody and then I'll walk you through my process for "Dobrofying" it with slides.
