Chinquapin Hunting

This is a 60 minute Zoom workshop from 7-14-24 Chinquapin Hunting is a wonderful fiddle tune in the key of D that lays out beautifully in D tuning. It's a two part tune that has become a jam circle favorite and is a perfect tune to work on hammer-on and pull-off techniques. In this lesson I walk you through the basic melody, share a few fundamental techniques for playing clean, and lay the foundations for using this tune as a vehicle for building vocabulary and improvising (which we get into in parts 2 and 3).
